If you are wondering what has happed to customer service in the age of 800 numbers with their long menu of help options and recorded messages, well it still exists. State Farm has an 800 number, but if you want personalized customer care you can call the office and speak to a friendly professional. No need to find the right option or wait on hold for a “real person”. I am not used to having a local agent. I guess it’s Old School, but Retro certainly works for me. I spoke with Shiela Duffy to switch coverage for auto and home. The rates were good, but I wasn’t sure what it would be like to work with a local office. I am used to working on line or talking to a call center where the level of experience and training is not always consistent. When you need information or help, you may not get the best answer, or worse yet, any answer at all. Sheila set up my policies quickly and efficiently, and all questions and concerns were handled professionally. It is always a pleasure to speak to her and she encouraged me to call during business hours and talk to her directly whenever I needed any help. I feel confident that she is looking out for my best interest. I would highly recommend this State Farm office.
