I had a terrible experience with Austin Fleck Property Management company. They approved my application to rent a house on Friday at 5:10 pm and asked me to bring the earnest deposit to their office. They said their business hours are from 9 am to 5 pm on Monday through Friday. I came out to bring my deposit to them in person on Monday at 3 pm, after the weekend.
And, just like a drama, I received an email from Austin Fleck on my way to their office that 'an alternate approved applicant' has come forward with an earnest deposit and the lease is out for signature. We will hold your application in a back-up status and let you know if the lease falls through.'
It is unreasonable that the Austine Fleck Property Management Company took 45 dollars (total of 90 dollars) from each applicant for the application process and gave only 6 business hours to bring a deposit.
I called Austin Fleck's manager and said it was ridiculous that you approved my application on Friday at 5:10 pm and moved forward with an alternate applicant on Monday at 3:00 pm without giving me a reasonable amount of time to bring my deposit to your office. The manager said they received several applications to give everyone a chance to apply, and people who brought their deposit to them first took a chance to rent the house. I agree that they disclosed the 'first come, first served' rule in their email about approval. But the rule should work within a reasonable management timeline for people who want to work with the company. Austin Fleck Property management company should not expect me to be able to visit their office during my work hours on Monday after they notified me of their approval on Friday at 5:10 pm.
To be honest, I think the company's first come, first served rule is not to give everyone an opportunity but to maximize the Austin Fleck Company's benefit by earning money from more application fees and having back-up applicants for their convenience. They brought me a feeling that they don't care about people who spent time filling out the application to them, paid money, and planned move-out based on their approval. I lost my application fee and a significant amount of time, and now I should start another house hunting to find a house in 10 days because of the Austin Fleck Property Management Company's ridiculous timeline that only cares about their benefits and convenience. It is hard to avoid the thought that Austin Fleck Property Management company just took my money, time, and effort for granted for their benefit only. If that was not their intention, I would say their management is not professional enough to avoid a ridiculous timeline and bringing a trouble to their clients.

We attempted to rent a home through Fleck over the new year. Not only did they ask for a very strange amount of personal information (and I've been renting different properties for years); they also required detailed photos of our 'previous living situation' and illegally declined my service animal letter because it was from out of state, among a few other occurrences. The office was incredibly rude and defensive about these practices as well, which seems to be consistent with their responses here on Google where tenants are simply attempting to voice their concerns. We dropped the idea and ate the application fees to avoid working with this office and are relieved we did.

My husband and l have been with Austin Fleck Property management for over 4 years now. I did through research as to who l would trust to care for our home. With this management team we have never be disappointed. As a business owner my self it is important to me to keep my customers happy and taken care of. This team at Austin Fleck has exceeded my expectations. Not only are they super responsive to my tenants and all their needs but super informative to us as owners with the best interest of both.

Before Austin Fleck we used other property management companies , lost a 2year old high quality fridge, month of rent , spent thousands $$$ on renovations,lost one year old pool pump and had countless problems with tenants and almost quit renting , but decided to rent just for one more year if we can find property manager who will work with us and find tenants who will enjoy living in our house and make effort to take care of the property . Now we feel very comfortable having Austin Fleck looking after our lovely house and taking care of our tenants . We have them as the property managers for a few years and so far we are very confident Susan and crew are very professional and trustworthy. Ward to potential tenants and landlords , please read agreements and talk with Susan and her workers , they are diligent dedicated pros , will help if you honest and need advise . As landlords from far away we are confident in their professional ,careful choice and care of our long term tenants.
They , Austin Fleck are always busy so sometime we have to wait a bit for response or call them directly ,but all is done with utmost courtesy . Austin Fleck we appreciate your work and recommend to others. If there is 6 stars we would give you as much . Great Company .******
